There are eight major band parades in Northern Ireland this weekend, taking place over Friday and Saturday.

On Friday night (June 28), there are parades in Ballynahinch, Armoy, Trillick and Mountnorris.

Meanwhile, parades are set to take place in Fivemiletown, Magherafelt, Rathcoole and Lisnaskea on Saturday night (June 29).

  • Ballynahinch Protestant Boys Flute Band are hosting their annual parade in Ballynahinch, Co Down, on Friday night;
  • Pride Of The Park Flute Band are hosting the parade in Armoy, Co Antrim, on Friday night;
  • Trillick Pipe Band are hosting the parade in Trillick, Tyrone, on Friday night;
  • John Hunter Accordion Band are hosting the parade in Mountnorris, Co Armagh, on Friday night;
  • Clogher Valley Grenadiers are hosting their first annual parade in Fivemiletown, Tyrone, on Saturday night;
  • Ballymoughan Purple Guards Flute Band are hosting the parade in Magherafelt, Co Londonderry, on Saturday night;
  • Rathcoole Protestant Boys Flute Band will host their 15th anniversary parade in Rathcoole, Co Antrim, on Saturday night:
  • and Ballindarragh Accordion Band will have their new uniforms dedicated and host a parade in Lisnaskea, Fermanagh, on Saturday night.

Ballynahinch

In Ballynahinch, around 25 bands are expected to take part in Friday night's parade, hosted by Ballynahinch Protestant Boys Flute Band. The parade gets under way at 7.30pm.

The parade route includes Ballynahinch Orange Hall, Dromore Street, Dromore Street, High Street, Main Street (up), War Memorial, Main Street (down), Lisburn Street, Lisburn Street Carpark, Lisburn Street, Mains Street (up), Crossgar Road, Windmill Lane, Harmony Way, Main Street (down), High Street, Dromore Street, Ballynahinch Orange Hall, Dromore Street.

In Armoy, around 30 bands are expected to take part in Friday night's parade, hosted by Pride Of The Park Flute Band. The parade gets under way at 8.15pm.
